As she recovered from a near-fatal car crash, God allowed her to start recovering from a different trauma. Years before, she had been groomed into an inappropriate relationship with a teacher. The aftermath was one that no sixteen-year-old could have imagined. Feeling alone and abandoned, questioning her worth, she delved into "Christian works" to show her worthiness to God, to show that she was worth loving and doing his works.
